Georgia Form
Georgia head to Mississippi having rebounded from the shock defeat to Auburn to improve to 7-1.
The Bulldogs opened the season with back-to-back blowouts of non-conference opposition, beating Tennessee State 63-3 and Western Kentucky 70-20.
They then opened their SEC schedule with a 45-167 rout of Arkansas on the road, before returning home to down Oklahoma, 41-13, and Vanderbilt, 38-14.
Georgia then ended Kirby Smart’s long wait for a regular season win over Alabama as they beat the Crimson Tide on the road, 20-17.
The Bulldogs were then brought back down to Earth with a surprise 27-24 defeat to Auburn, but rebounded quickly as they downed Florida 27-8 last weekend.
Ole Miss Form
Ole Miss also enter this matchup having bounced back from a recent defeat, improving to 6-2 last weekend.
The Rebels also began their season with back-to-back non-conference wins, beating Louisville 41-38 and Charlotte 41-9.
They then got one over on old coach Lane Kiffin as they beat LSU 32-24 in their SEC opener, only to then suffer a 52-28 blowout loss in Florida.
Ole Miss rallied with a 51-17 demolition of Vanderbilt, and then dominated Missouri in a 31-3 victory.
The Rebels failed to make it three-in-a-row as they fell 34-27 in Texas, but they bounced back a week ago to down Auburn 45-15.
Verdict
Two quality quarterbacks are on show in this one, but defense is the key and Georgia has the edge in that department.
The Bulldogs defense is coming off a dominant showing a week ago, and can slow down Trinidad Chambliss & Co to ensure the Dawgs leave with a victory.
