Oklahoma at Florida Predictions & Picks
Oklahoma are tipped to cover as a betting underdog in ‘The Swamp’.
Florida’s early-season optimism has evaporated as the offense has stalled in recent weeks, and their sloppiness with the football is something an opportunistic Sooners secondary can take advantage of.
- Oklahoma are 1-0-0 ATS a single digit underdog
- Florida are 1-3 in their previous 4 games
- Florida are 1-3-0 ATS in their last 4 games
- The Under has cashed in each of Florida’s last 3 games
Head To Head
- The all-time series is tied at 1-1
- Oklahoma won 55-20 when the two teams last met in December 2020
Oklahoma Form
Oklahoma head to Florida with a 4-4 record, having traded wins and losses all season long.
The Sooners opened with a 51-0 shutout of UTEP, only to then lose 17-10 when they visited Michigan a week later.
They rebounded with an underwhelming 14-6 win over New Mexico, before responding to a 41-13 blowout loss at Georgia with a 27-24 upset of Texas in the ‘Red River Rivalry’ game.
Oklahoma again failed to build on a victory though, as they were brought back down to Earth by a 21-13 loss to Kentucky.
The Sooners bounced back with a 23-16 win at Mississippi State, only to then lose 42-24 when they hosted South Carolina last time out.
Florida Form
Florida return home on the back of their third defeat in four games, which has dropped them to 5-3.
The Gators opened the season with a couple of non-conference blowouts, beating Florida Atlantic 66-21 and Campbell 52-3.
They then kicked off their SEC slate by following up a 44-39 victory in Auburn with a 52-28 upset of top-five Ole Miss.
Florida suffered a letdown the following week though, as they fell 45-17 in Missouri, and a week later they suffered a 38-19 defeat at home to South Carolina.
The Gators avoided a third-straight loss, upsetting Texas 27-24 on the road, only to return to losing ways last weekend as they were beaten 27-8 by Georgia.
Verdict
Both teams have good wins, but both teams have flaws and some bad losses.
Florida’s offense has stalled in recent weeks, so it is tough to see them pulling away from the Sooners on the scoreboard. Take the underdogs and the points.
