Minnesota Vikings Form
Minnesota go into this big NFC North matchup as the only unbeaten team left after seven weeks of the season.
The Vikings made the best possible start to the campaign as they downed division rivals Green Bay on opening weekend, 39-22.
They backed that up on the road as they won 9-3 in Chicago, before heading to Tampa to beat the Buccaneers 23-16.
Minnesota returned home for a 15-10 victory over Miami, and then travelled to New Orleans to take down the Saints, 23-13.
The Vikings made it to 6-0 last weekend, as they battled to a 16-10 win at home to Indianapolis.
Detroit Lions Form
Detroit come into this game looking to make it three wins in a row, having improved to 4-2 with back-to-back victories.
The Lions also made a winning start to the season as they beat New Orleans in overtime at home, 31-30, but they failed to follow that up as they lost 41-31 in Buffalo.
They rebounded a week later to beat the New York Jets 31-24, only to then lose 32-26 when they visited Carolina.
Detroit have not lost since though, registering back-to-back wins to seemingly kick-start their playoff push.
The Lions stormed to a 45-21 victory in Arizona, and backed that up last weekend as they beat division rivals Green Bay, 20-17, thanks to a walk-off field goal.
Verdict
Minnesota’s defense continues to dominate, but the offense remains a major red flag for the Vikings.
Detroit have enough talent on offense to put up some points here, and an improving Lions defense can help the Lions get over the line.
