New York City secured a timely win in the MLS as they ended a run of six matches without a victory in the competition by easing past Atlanta.
Montreal remain stuck to the foot of the Eastern Conference after they succumbed to their 19th loss of the season as they were hammered 4-0 by Charlotte.
