New York Giants at Houston Texans Predictions & Picks
New York are tipped to cover as a double digit underdog in Houston.
The Texans have resurrected their season and are coming off the back of a big win in London, but this is a lot of points and they are playing just days after a transatlantic flight.
Fatigue could set in here, giving the Giants the opportunity to avoid a double digit defeat.
- New York Giants are 4-2-0 ATS this season
- New York Giants are 4-1-0 ATS as a betting underdog
- Houston Texans are 0-3-0 ATS at home this season
- The Over has cashed in each of New York’s last 3 games
Head To Head
- New York Giants lead the all-time series 5-1
- New York Giants won 24-16 when the two teams last met in November 22
New York Giants Form
New York head to Houston looking to snap a two-game winless sequence that has dropped them to 3-2-1.
The Giants made an ideal start to the season as they upset division rivals Dallas on opening day, 28-20.
They failed to follow that up a week later as they lost 28-6 at the Los Angeles Rams, but they rebounded quickly to beat Tennessee 12-7 and Arizona 36-24 at home.
New York failed to make it three-in-a-row at Washington, but they did make it three games without a defeat as they went to a 27-27 tie with the Commanders.
The Giants could not make it four without a loss though, as they were beaten 34-27 by New Orleans last weekend.
Houston Texans Form
Houston return home having breathed new life into their season with back-to-back wins on the road.
The Texans kicked off the campaign with back-to-back home games, but failed to make the most of that as they lost 36-31 to Buffalo and 20-6 to Cincinnati.
They then dropped a division game on the road, falling 19-17 at Indianapolis, before falling to 0-4 with a 34-30 home defeat to Dallas.
Houston finally got off the mark in Week 5 as they beat division rivals Tennessee on the road, 26-3.
The Texans then backed that up in London last weekend, as a walk-off field goal lifted them to a thrilling 34-31 over AFC South foes Jacksonville.
Verdict
Houston produced their best performance of the season last Sunday, and we are confident that they can follow that up here.
However, playing just days after a game in London is hardly ideal, so we would not be shocked to see the Giants pull off back-door cover in this one.
