Best NHL Props Oct 13: Player Props for the NHL Tonight
Connor McDavid to record 2+ points, Sebastian Aho to score and Nathan MacKinnon to post another multi-point night are our three best NHL player props for Tuesday night.
There are 16 games on a full Tuesday slate, and we've taken one prop from each of three of them. Each pick comes from a player whose production has been steady from the first week of the season.
Connor McDavid Points Prop vs Los Angeles Kings
McDavid has 13 points through Edmonton's first five games and has recorded 2+ points in four of them, with 2, 5, 2, 3 and 1. He plays his 800th career NHL game tonight, and he leads the league in scoring.
He's playing almost 24 minutes a night, with 4:20 of that on the power play. The Oilers are scoring 5 goals per game.
The Kings are still looking for their first regulation win at 0-2-2. They're giving up 4.25 goals per game and killing just 56.2% of penalties. We're backing McDavid for another multi-point night.
Pick: Connor McDavid 2+ points
Sebastian Aho Anytime Goal Prop vs Washington Capitals
Aho has 6 goals in Carolina's first seven games and has scored in five of them, including each of the last two. He also has points in six straight games, the longest active point streak in the league.
Three of his goals have come on the power play, including one against Washington on Oct. 2. Carolina are on a five-game win streak and scoring 3.86 goals per game.
Logan Thompson let in 5 goals on 27 shots in his last start for Washington, against Seattle. Aho is back at home tonight, and we like him to score again.
Pick: Sebastian Aho anytime goal
Nathan MacKinnon Points Prop vs Dallas Stars
MacKinnon has 10 points in Colorado's first five games, with 5 goals and 5 assists. He's recorded 2+ points in four of them, with 2, 3, 0, 3 and 2.
His last game was his biggest workload yet. He scored twice on 8 shots against Toronto, played 23:56 and spent 7:57 on the power play. The Avalanche are scoring 5.2 goals per game.
Dallas are giving up only 1.6 goals per game, so this is the toughest matchup of our three picks. The Stars are 2-2-1, though, and Matt Duchene is out until January with an abdomen injury. We're backing MacKinnon to get through and go multi-point again.
Pick: Nathan MacKinnon 2+ points
