Montreal are looking to finally bring an end to a woeful run of form that has kept them pinned to the foot of the Eastern Conference. However, to do this they will have to defeat the best team in the Western Conference as they host Vancouver at the weekend.

Montreal's season has failed to take off after a paltry return of six wins across their 33 league matches has helped them onto 26 points and a confirmed finish at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.
Across their last 10, Montreal have won just once after beating Cincinnati 3-1 in late-September. Seven defeats and two draws have come in this time, with their last six ending without a win. Their tally of 26 points means they sit at the bottom of the Eastern Conference, 17 points short of Orlando in ninth.
An inability to score goals or keep them out of their own net has been a major issue after scoring a division low 37 goals and conceding 67 times. Montreal boast a win in their last match against Vancouver after they battled to a 2-1 win in September, but they have been incredibly poor across the season, and they will struggle to get anywhere near a win in this one.
Vancouver Whitecaps Form
Vancouver Whitecaps are aiming to extend their solid run of two consecutive wins after they hammered San Diego 4-1 before easily beating Seattle 5-1.
Their pair of wins ensured they bounced back at the first time of asking following their 1-0 loss to Colorado. On the road, Vancouver have won seven of their 16, drawing five times and losing four games. While they have not been perfect, they still boast the joint-best away record in their conference.
Victory in their final MLS regular season game is crucial as they look to build momentum heading into the playoffs. While the Whitecaps are far from perfect, they should defeat an opponent that has lost 19 of their 33 this season.
Clean sheets have not been their forte of late, with just two coming across their last 10. I am backing the travelling side to take all three points in this one, but I do not predict that they will keep a clean sheet.

I am backing the pair to find the back of the net as Vancouver make it three successive wins in the competition.
