Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz Picks & Betting Tips

Anderson Silva’s superior striking should be the telling factor in a knockout victory.

Anderson Silva Form

Anderson Silva’s MMA career petered out after his shock knockout loss to Chris Weidman in 2013.

Silva paid the price for clowning around when he was knocked out in the first fight and then broke his leg in the rematch.

A decision win over Nick Diaz was then overturned to a No Contest after he failed a drug test.

He dropped decisions to Michael Bisping and Daniel Cormier before registering a controversial decision win over Derek Brunson in February 2017.

That would be his last win as a UFC fighter and he would suffer three more losses before leaving.

Silva lost a decision to Israel Adesanya before being knocked out by Jared Cannonier and then Uriah Hall in 2020.

Silva returned to boxing after that and improved his record to 2-1 when he bested Julio Cesar Chaves Jr over eight rounds for a shock victory.

Tito Ortiz Form

Tito Ortiz was one of the biggest stars in the UFC when it enjoyed a surge in popularity between 2003 and 2006.

But when he was knocked out by Chuck Liddell for a second time in December 2006, his MMA career went off the rails.

He drew with Rashad Evans before dropping three straight decisions against Lyoto Machida, Forrest Griffin and Matt Hamill.

With his UFC career on the line he stopped the rot by submitting Ryan Bade in July 2011. That would be his last UFC win though.

Rashad Evans and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira both knocked out Ortiz before Forrest Griffin beat him by decision.

After a two-year absence from the sport he signed with Bellator MMA in 2014 and won his first two fights, submitting Alexander Shlemenko before claiming a split decision win over Stephan Bonnar.

‘The Huntington Beach Bad Boy’ landed a shot at the light-heavyweight title with those wins, but he was tapped out inside a round by Liam McGeary.

In his final Bellator bout he submitted Chael Sonnen and since that night he has won two ‘freakshow’ fights.

He knocked out a washed up Chuck Liddell in their trilogy fight for Golden Boy Promotions in 2018, before submitting professional wrestling star Alberto El Patron on a Combate Americas card.
