Saudi International Picks & Betting Tips - Best Asian Tour Golf Picks

A star-studded field lines up for the flagship event on the Asian Tour in Saudi Arabia this weekend. Can Dustin Johnson make it three victories in four starts at this tournament?
Johnson returns to defend his title after victory in 2021 in a field stacked with talent and big names.
Ten Major winners will tee off on Thursday including Sergio Garcia, Henrik Stenson, Shane Lowry, Phil Mickelson, Johnson, Jason Dufner, Graeme McDowell, Bryson DeChambeau, Patrick Reed and Bubba Watson.
After three seasons on the European Tour, this tournament is now part of the Asian Tour and the first for 2022.
These are our four selections for victory this weekend.
Dustin Johnson
Since the inception of the Saudi International, Dustin Johnson has made this tournament his own.
The American golfer won in 2019, was runner-up in 2020 and sealed his second victory in 2021.
Coming into this event, Johnson has finished T10, Cut, T6, T8, T45 and T25 at the 2022 Farmers Insurance Open in his last six tournament starts.
Johnson loves this golf course and can make a strong defence of this title at the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club.
Tyrrell Hatton
Tyrrell Hatton continued his excellent start to the year when he followed up his T6 finish in Abu Dhabi with a T4 place at the recent Dubai Desert Classic.
The Englishman also finished 2021 strong with a T16 finish at the DP World Tour Championship and a T9 place at the Hero World Challenge.
He placed T6 at the Saudi International last year.
Hatton has been putting in consistent performances in his previous four tournament starts, and if he keeps replicating that form he will be in with a chance.
Thomas Pieters
After Thomas Pieters' recent triumph at the Abu Dhabi Championship, he showed no signs of post-victory blues when he finished a credible T12 at the Dubai Desert Classic last weekend.
The Belgian has been in terrific form in his last five outings, finishing 16th at the Mallorca Open, winning the Portugal Masters, placing 15th at the DP World Tour Championship and the two mentioned above.
Pieters results at the Saudi International golf tournament have been impressive. He finished T22 in 2019, T3 in 2020 and T10 last year.
Pieters world golf ranking has risen from 126th at the start of the Mallora Open to 31st, and his current form makes him a genuine contender for the title this weekend.
Sam Horsfield
Sam Horsfield enters this tournament with three excellent results behind his name.
The Englishman placed T9 at the DP World Tour Championship, T12 at the Abu Dhabi Championship and T4 at the Dubai Desert Classic last weekend.
His best performances of 2021 include T3 at the Kenya Classic, 4th at the Gran Canaria Lopesan and T5 at the BMW International.
Horsfield offers great value in Saudi Arabia.
Verdict
Johnson is looking to win his third Saudi International tournament and has to enter calculations.
Hatton has been knocking hard of late and has a chance.
Pieters has won two tournaments in his last four starts and can contend for another.
Horsfield can surprise and is a worthy long-shot value bet.
