Truist Championship Preview & Picks - Best PGA Tour Bets For Philadelphia

Some of the world's best golfers will contest the Truist Championship this week, but who will win this season's sixth PGA Tour Signature Event?
The Wissahickon Course at Philadelphia Cricket Club is the host venue for this edition of the Truist Championship, as Quail Hollow in North Carolina is where the PGA Championship will take place next weekend.
Rory McIlroy returns to defend his title after a five-stroke victory over Xander Schauffele in the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship.
Past and present Major winners in the field include Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, Brian Harman, Wyndham Clark, Matt Fitzpatrick, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Jason Day, Lucas Glover, Keegan Bradley, Adam Scott, Shane Lowry, Hideki Matsuyama, Justin Rose, Jordan Spieth, and Gary Woodland.
These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.
Tommy Fleetwood
Tommy Fleetwood was in decent nick in the opening three events to his season, finishing T21 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour, T22 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and T5 at the Genesis Invitational on the PGA Tour.
Fleetwood has continued to produce solid results, placing T11 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, T14 at the Players Championship, T16 at the Valspar Championship, T62 at the Valero Texas Open, T21 at the Masters, and 7th at the RBC Heritage.
The 34-year-old has made four appearances at this tournament, with results of MC in 2018, T14 in 2021, T5 in 2023, and T13 in 2024.
Fleetwood has threatened to win a big tournament in 2025 and can lift the winning trophy at the Philadelphia Cricket Club this weekend.
Russell Henley
Russell Henley was in solid form at the beginning of his new season on the PGA Tour, finishing T30 at the Sentry, T10 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, T5 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and T39 at the Genesis Invitational.
Henley has found another gear to his game lately, recording a T6 at the Cognizant Classic, victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a T30 at the Players Championship, an MC at the Masters, and a T8 at the RBC Heritage.
The five-time PGA Tour winner has attempted to win this event on seven occasions, finishing T43 in 2013, MC in 2014, MC in 2018, MC in 2019, T72 in 2021, T41 in 2022, and T10 in 2024.
Henley has been playing well this season and can win the Truist Championship come Sunday.
Daniel Berger
Daniel Berger was not in the best form at the start of the new PGA Tour season, with results of MC at the Sony Open in Hawaii, T21 at the American Express, and MC at the Farmers Insurance Open.
Since those results, Berger has found consistency in his game, placing T2 at the Phoenix Open, 12th at the Genesis Invitational, T25 at the Cognizant Classic, T15 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, T20 at the Players Championship, T30 at the Valero Texas Open, T21 at the Masters, and T3 at the RBC Heritage.
The four-time PGA Tour has featured five times at this tournament, finishing T28 in 2015, T17 in 2016, T36 in 2017, T55 in 2018, and T54 in 2019.
Berger has been thereabouts lately and can secure victory at the Truist Championship this weekend.
Maverick McNealy
Maverick McNealy had a mediocre start to the 2025 PGA Tour season, finishing T8 at the Sentry, T45 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, T52 at the Farmers Insurance Open, and T40 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
However, McNealy has found form in recent months, placing T9 at the WM Phoenix Open, 2nd at the Genesis Invitational, MC at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, MC at the Players Championship, T32 at the Texas Children's Houston Open, T3 at the Valero Texas Open, T32 at the Masters, and T3 at the RBC Heritage.
The 29-year-old American missed the cut on debut at this event in 2021.
McNealy has had three top-three places in seven outings and can upstage the others at the Philadelphia Cricket Club this weekend.
Verdict
Fleetwood is showing signs he is ready to win his maiden PGA Tour title this weekend.
Henley has the form to secure victory at the Truist Championship come Sunday.
Berger has done nothing wrong lately and can emerge as the winner at the Philadelphia Cricket Club.
McNealy has gone close to winning this season and can pocket the winner's cheque in Pennsylvania this weekend.
