The Yankees struggled for consistency during June as they stacked up a bunch of losses, but they did go into this series on the back of a solid home showing against The Athletics.
They won the series opener 3-0, and then rebounded from a 7-0 shutout loss with a 12-5 victory over the A’s.
New York failed to build on that when they headed to Toronto, as they were swept in four games by the Blue Jays.

They rallied to split the series though, winning the next two meetings with the Braves, 7-3 and 4-0.
New York failed to build on those victories however, as they were swept in a three-game series in Pittsburgh, losing 9-1, 9-2 and 12-1.
The Mets’ losing run reached four games with a 7-2 home loss to Milwaukee, but they were able to turn around that series as they followed up a 7-3 win with a 3-2 victory last night.
Verdict
Neither team is in great form, but we are leaning towards the Mets getting the job done.
Marcus Stroman has been struggling for the Yankees, and the Mets can take advantage of that to make it three-in-a-row.
