The Phillies lost three of their first four games of the month, but rallied to win 6-2 and 9-4 at the Los Angeles Dodgers.
They then made it three-in-a-row in Arizona, winning 6-4, only to see their run end with 3-2, 11-1 and 12-5 defeats to the Diamondbacks.
Philadelphia’s skid reached three games with a 5-0 home loss to Miami, but they rallied to win series finale against the Marlins, 9-5.
The Phillies backed it up with 13-3, 3-2 and 5-1 victories over Washington, only to miss out on the series sweep when they dropped the fourth meeting, 6-4.
Atlanta Braves Form
Atlanta came into this series looking to build some momentum after a rough start to August.
The Braves won their opening game of the month, but then lost five straight at home as they were beaten twice by Miami and were swept by Milwaukee.
They went out on the road next and sandwiched an 11-8 victory in Colorado with 6-5 and 9-8 defeats to the Rockies.
Atlanta fared better in San Francisco though, as they rolled into Oracle Park and beat the Giants 1-0, 4-3 and 13-2, before losing the series finale 6-0.
The Braves then dropped the series opener in Los Angeles, 3-2, only to rally with 11-3 and 3-1 victories over the Angels.
Verdict
Atlanta are the team in better form and they have repeatedly got the better of Philadelphia this season, so give us the Braves at home.
