Curtis Blaydes Form

Curtis Blaydes is looking to make it back-to-back wins and get back in the heavyweight title picture.

Blaydes went on a four-fight win streak between March 2019 and June 2020 that propelled him into the top four.

He bested Justin Willis over five rounds before knocking out Shamil Abdurakhimov in the second round.

Blaydes then added another big name to his record when he knocked out ex-heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos in January 202.

The 31-year-old American then followed that up with a decision win over Alexander Volkov.

However, his momentum stalled when he was knocked out in the second round by Derrick Lewis in February 2021.

‘Razor’ bounced back before the end of the year though, earning a decision win over dangerous striker Jairzinho Rozenstruik.

That victory left Blaydes with a 15-3, 1 No Contest record. 10 of his 15 wins have come via knockout, while all three losses have been by KO.

Chris Daukaus Form

Chris Daukaus is looking to bounce back from his first defeat inside the UFC Octagon.

The 32-year-old American arrived in the UFC in August 2020 possessing an 8-3 record from his time in the minor leagues of MMA.

He made an immediate splash when he knocked out Parker Porter in the first round of his UFC debut.

Daukaus then followed that up with a 45-second stoppage of Rodrigo Nascimento and a 115-second knockout of Alexey Oleynik.

His climb up the heavyweight ladder continued last September when he stopped Shamil Abdurakhimov in the second round, but his streak was halted before the end of the year.

Daukaus was looking to record the biggest win of his career and propel himself into title contention last December.

However, he was knocked out in the very first round of his fight with Derrick Lewis.

That loss left Daukaus with a 12-4 professional record, with 11 of his 12 wins coming via KO. He has been knocked out three times and submitted once.

Verdict

Curtis Blaydes remains one of the premier heavyweights in the UFC and is a better all-round fighter.

He has racked up a bunch of KO/TKO wins in his career and we are backing him to stop Chris Daukaus.
