They then lost 123-121 in overtime in Detroit, before splitting a couple of games with the Pacers in Indiana, winning 124-111 and losing 119-110.
Miami responded with home wins over Philadelphia, 106-89, and Dallas, 123-118 in overtime, before losing 106-103 to Milwaukee.
The Heat rebounded from that loss with a 98-94 win in Charlotte and a 121-111 home success against Toronto, only to then lose 119-116 at the Raptors last night.

Boston enter this matchup looking to rebound from last night’s defeat in Cleveland that ended a seven-game win streak.
The Celtics started that red-hot run by responding to a 117-116 defeat to Atlanta with a 139-114 blowout of Brooklyn on the road.
They then returned home to down Toronto 126-123 in overtime, before beating Cleveland 120-117 in regulation.
Boston went out on the road after that to beat Washington 108-96, and kept their winning run going when they returned home to down Minnesota 107-105 and the LA Clippers 126-94.
The Celtics made it seven-in-a-row with a 138-129 victory in Chicago, before finally seeing that run end with a 115-111 loss in Cleveland on Sunday.
Verdict
Boston have made a great start to their defence of the title, but they remain an unreliable spread beat, especially when favored by 10 points or more.
