San Antonio head to Memphis having cooled off in recent days, losing three of their last five games to slip to 25-10.
The Spurs enjoyed a red-hot run in December as they reeled off eight consecutive victories, including back-to-back wins over defending champions Oklahoma City.
They beat the Thunder 130-110 at home, before heading to Oklahoma City to win a Christmas Day showdown, 117-102.
San Antonio’s run was ended at home as they fell 127-114 to Utah, and they then suffered a 113-101 defeat to Cleveland before rallying with a 134-132 victory over New York.
The Spurs backed that up with a 123-113 success in Indiana, only to then suffer a 115-110 defeat when they hosted Portland last Saturday.
Memphis Grizzlies Form
Memphis enter this matchup having lost back-to-back games in Los Angeles to see their losing skid reach four games and drop them to 15-20.
The Grizzlies enjoyed a successful few days surrounding Christmas Day as they followed up a 137-128 victory in Utah with a 125-101 win at home to Milwaukee.
They endured a disappointing end to 2025 though, as they ended the year with back-to-back defeats.
Memphis were beaten 116-112 on the road in Washington, before returning home for a 139-136 overtime defeat at the hands of Philadelphia.
The Grizzlies then travelled to Los Angeles for back-to-back meetings with the Lakers, and they were beaten on both occasions, 128-121 last Friday and 120-114 on Sunday.

San Antonio are not in red-hot form right now, but they are still the better team.
