The Stars rebounded from a 3-2 shootout loss in Calgary with a four-game win streak that began with road wins over Edmonton, 8-3, and Seattle, 3-2.
They then returned home to down Utah 4-3 and Ottawa 6-1, only to see their run end with a 3-2 overtime defeat at the New York Rangers.
Dallas rebounded quickly though, heading to New Jersey to take down the Devils, 3-0, and that proved to be the start of another four-game run.
The Stars recorded home wins over San Jose, 4-1, and Pittsburgh, 3-2, before heading out on the road to beat Winnipeg 4-3.

Minnesota enter this matchup in disappointing form, having lost three of their previous five games.
The Wild were on a roll in late November as they embarked on a season-best run of form, reeling off seven consecutive victories.
That run was halted in their final game of the month as they suffered a 3-2 shootout defeat at the home of Buffalo, and they have so far failed to regain their momentum.
