Edmonton head back to Dallas with an opportunity to wrap up the Western Conference Finals, having won each of the last three games in this series.
The Oilers made a losing start to the series as they were beaten 6-3 on the road, but they responded to that loss in emphatic fashion.
They won 3-0 on the road in Game 2, before heading back home to the beat the Stars 6-1 and 4-1 to take a 3-1 series lead.
Edmonton came into the conference finals having won eight of their previous 11 postseason games to make it to this stage.
The Oilers dug themselves into an early hole in the playoffs as they lost back-to-back games in Los Angeles, 6-5 and 6-2, but their response was strong.
They reeled off four straight victories over the Kings to wrap up the series, winning 7-4, 4-3 (OT), 3-1 and 6-4.
Edmonton then made a dream start to the series against Vegas as they won 4-2 in regulation and 5-4 in overtime in ‘Sin City’ to take command.
The Oilers lost their opening home game, 4-3, but issued an immediate response as they wrapped up a 4-1 series victory with 3-0 and 1-0 (OT) wins over the Golden Knights.

Dallas return home in a ‘must-win’ situation, having lost each of their last three games to leave themselves on the brink of elimination.
The Stars made a successful start to the series as they beat Edmonton 6-3 at home, but it has been all downhill since then.
They now find themselves on the brink elimination having suffered a 3-0 defeat at home, and 6-1 and 4-1 defeats on the road.
Dallas came into the conference finals having played no less than 13 games through the first two rounds of the postseason.
The Stars opened the playoffs with a 5-1 defeat at home to Colorado, but responded with a 4-3 overtime victory at home and a 2-1 overtime win on the road.
They then rebounded from a 4-0 defeat with a 6-2 victory, before bouncing back from a 7-4 loss with a series-clinching 4-2 victory when they hosted the Avalanche for Game 7.
Dallas made a stronger start against Winnipeg as they won 3-2 on the road, and they then bounced back from a 4-0 defeat to the Jets with 5-2 and 3-1 wins at home.
The Stars failed to clinch on the road in Game 5, losing 4-0, but they did not make the same mistake in Game 6 as they ran out 2-1 winners in overtime at home.
Verdict
Edmonton have won three straight and out-scored Dallas 13-2 during this surge.
That makes the red-hot Oilers an appealing pick with the plus-money for this big Game 5 showdown.
