Then Maple Leafs entered the playoffs on a four-game win streak, only to suffer a 7-3 defeat when they hosted Tampa Bay in Game 1 of the series.

The Maple Leafs could not follow that up on Tuesday though, losing 4-2 to Florida in the opening game of this series.
