They then backed up that victory on the road, as they downed St Louis 5-4 before heading to Detroit to down the Red Wings 3-1.
Los Angeles failed to make it four-in-a-row as they lost 4-1 in Buffalo, only to rebound with a 3-2 overtime success in Philadelphia.
The Kings have not won since though, following up a 3-2 overtime defeat in Carolina with a 4-2 home loss to Seattle.
Vegas Golden Knights Form
Vegas come into this game on the back of a much-needed victory that ended a five-game losing run.
The Golden Knights were red-hot during the first half of January, as they reeled off seven consecutive victories, but a 2-1 defeat to Philadelphia sparked a downturn in fortunes.
They then lost 4-3 in Boston, before failing to build on a 6-3 victory in Toronto as they lost five straight games.
Vegas were beaten 7-1 in Ottawa and 3-2 in overtime at Montreal, before heading home to lose 5-4 to Dallas and 3-2 to Seattle.
The Golden Knights then suffered a fifth consecutive loss as they fell 4-3 in Anaheim, but they were finally able to stop the rot last night as they downed Vancouver at home, 5-2.
Verdict
Vegas’ recent form makes for ugly reading, but they do enter this game on the back of a morale-boosting win.
The Golden Knights also have the benefit of not having to travel for the second half of a back-to-back, so give us the hosts in this one.
