LAFC vs New England Revolution Previews & Picks - LAFC to make it three wins in a row

LAFC host the New England Revolution on Sunday in what should be a cracking match between two sides that are yet to lose this season. 

The two teams last met in a club friendly in 2022, with the score ending 1-1. Indeed, the last three matches between the pair have ended in draws, with LAFC the last winners in this clash when they triumphed 2-0 back in 2019.

LAFC have started the new MLS season in decent form after winning their opening match of the campaign 3-2 against the Portland Timbers. 

While LAFC would have been hoping for a slightly less pulsating affair, the points were all that mattered in the end, with the home side starting their season with a win. 

Despite playing one less game than all the sides above them, LAFC will have aspirations of moving up the table with another win. Last season, their impressive run saw them finish at the top with 67 points from 34 games, and they will be desperate to enjoy a similar campaign this time around. 

New England Revolution sit at the top of the Eastern Conference after a brilliant start to the new season. 

Two wins have come from their opening two games, with a 1-0 win over Charlotte quickly followed by a 3-0 win over Houston Dynamo. The goals scored in these wins were impressive, but it is their defence that has been particularly good, keeping two clean sheets in as many games. 

New England Revolution know they face a real test in this one as they travel to take on LAFC. A win here would really underline their credentials in the MLS this year, but it will not be easy.
