Tampa Bay is 48-33 on the road and 62-35 vs. RHPs.

Right-hander Drew Rasmussen has been spectacular over the last two months, going 4-0 while allowing 8 runs and 29 hits, including 1 home run, while recording 25 strikeouts and 9 walks over 41 innings in 10 appearances (8 starts).

Boston is 50-32 at Fenway Park and 59-39 vs. RHPs.

Right-hander Nathan Eovaldi picked up a win in the Sox Wild Card victory over the Yankees, limiting New York to four hits and one run in 5.1 innings while also striking out eight.

Verdict

Eovoldi, who has been fairly consistent this year, was excellent in his last outing against the Yankees in the AL Wild Card game and has been fantastic during the postseason in his career. Eovaldi has pitched fairly well at Fenway this year and has fared well against the Rays’ current lineup over his career.

Offensively, Boston has really been “raking” at the plate and hits really well at Fenway Park.

Tampa Bay enters the game struggling at the plate lately and Rasmussen has not pitched since Sept. 29, so he could be kind of “rusty”.

The teams, who combined to produce average of 11 runs a game during day games this year, rank No. 2 and No. 3 in OPS during day games this year.
