Colorado State at Iowa Picks & Betting Tips

Iowa have been winning and covering routinely this season. That trend could continue here.

This is a large spread for a team that does not have the most explosive of offenses.

It is a reliable offense that can run over opponents though, and that Hawkeyes defense is opportunistic.

Iowa can control the clock and win the turnover battle, so we could see them cover yet again.

They bounced back in Week 3 though, winning 22-6 at Toledo.

Iowa Form

Iowa have made a perfect start to the season to climb the polls to #5 after three games.

The Hawkeyes opened up with a 34-6 blowout of #6 Indiana before knocking off #9 Iowa State, 27-17, in a big rivalry game.

They then followed up that victory with a one-sided 30-7 win over Kent State last time out.

QB Spencer Petras has struggled for consistency while throwing for 460 yards and a couple to touchdowns.

The Hawkeyes have been able to rely on Tyler Goodson though. The talented running back has 307 yards and five TDs off 62 carries.

The defense have shown up too and has already racked up eight takeaways and three TDs across three games.

Riley Moss has two pick sixes and a fumble recovery so far. Jack Campbell has also turned a fumble recovery into a score.
