Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens Picks & Betting Tips

Baltimore are tipped to continue their red-hot run but fail to cover the spread.

The offense is firing and the defense is coming off an impressive shutdown of the LA Chargers.

The Ravens can follow that up with another win here, although Cincinnati are backed to cover.

The Bengals have been solid on both sides of the football and can make this one a closer game than the bookies expect.

  • Baltimore Ravens are averaging 28.3 points per game

Cincinnati Bengals Form

Cincinnati have been one of the surprise stories of the 2021 season so far, going 4-2 through six weeks.

The Bengals opened with a 27-24 win over Minnesota but fell to a 20-17 defeat a week later when Joe Burrow threw picks on three consecutive plays.

They bounced back with a 24-10 win over Pittsburgh and 24-21 victory over Jacksonville, but they again lost to NFC North opposition in Week 5.

Cincy blew chances to win the game, missing field goals, as they were beaten 25-22 by Green Bay.

They finally got the better of NFC North opposition last weekend though, beating Detroit 34-11.

QB Joe Burrow is 123/174 for 1,540 yards, 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

His chemistry with Ja’Marr Chase has been impressive. Chase has 553 yards and five touchdowns off 27 receptions.

Joe Mixon has been delivering out of the backfield, racking up 570 yards from scrimmage and four TDs.

The defense has been delivering too and ranks in the top five for points allowed per game (18.5) and top 10 for total defense.

Baltimore Ravens Form

Baltimore’s response to a 33-27 season-opening defeat to Las Vegas has been an emphatic one.

The Ravens responded by fighting back to beat Kansas City 36-35 a week later, and followed that up with a narrow 19-17 win over Detroit thanks to a record-setting 66-yard field goal.

They made much more straightforward work of Denver in a 23-7 win, but were made to work for a 31-25 overtime win over Indianapolis.

Lamar Jackson produced a one-man show as the Ravens fought back from 16 points down in the final 10 minutes to force OT.

The Ravens then produced their most complete performance to date to dominate the Los Angeles Chargers in a 34-6 victory last weekend.

QB Jackson has been in sensational form for Baltimore. In the passing game he is 131/194 for 1,686 yards, nine touchdowns and five picks, and in the rushing game he has 392 yards and two scores.

Jackson has had to play a key part in the run game due to injuries. Latavius Murray is the top running back with only 212 yards, but he misses out through injury.

In the passing game Marquise Brown and Mark Andrews have been the standout performers. Brown has 486 yards and five scores, while Andrews has racked up 468 yards and three TDs.

The defense has improved throughout the season and held the Chargers to just 208 total yards and six points a week ago.
