The Texans stormed to a 27-7 halftime lead and never looked back as they wrecked the NFL debuts of Trevor Lawrence and Urban Meyer.
Taylor was 21/33 for 291 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 40 yards off four carries.
Mark Ingram was used heavily as he carried the ball 26 times for 85 yards and a TD. Phillip Lindsay also had a rushing score.
Brandin Cooks hauled in five of his seven targets for 132 receiving yards.
On defense, three different players picked off Lawrence as the Jaguars QB was given a rude welcome to the league.

Verdict
Houston impressed in Week 1, but there is a much tougher challenge awaiting them on Sunday.
Cleveland will be kicking themselves for blowing that late lead in KC but they can bounce back here.
Their strong point is Houston’s biggest weakness. A heavy dose of the run should lead the Browns to victory.
