In round one they bounced back from a 5-0 defeat to win a seven-game thriller with Toronto, 4-3.
They swept Florida in the next round, but then had to fight back from 2-0 down against New York to win that series 4-2.
Colorado Avalanche Form
Colorado maintained their perfect Game 1 record as they took an early lead in the Stanley Cup Final.
The Avalanche turned a Game 1 win into a sweep of Nashville in the first round, and then took the opening game on their way to a 4-2 victory against St Louis.
They then won a 14-goal shootout with Edmonton in the Western Conference Final, sparking their second series sweep of the postseason so far.
Colorado will now look to take a 2-0 lead to Tampa after opening this series with a win on Wednesday.
The Avalanche got off to the perfect start as Gabriel Landeskog, Valeri Nichuskin and Artturi Lehkonen gave them a 3-1 lead after the first period.
They failed to put the game to bed though and Tampa came back to force overtime.
Colorado would not be denied the win though and sealed a 4-3 victory when Andre Burakovsky scored the winning goal in OT.
