The earliest that sports betting will be legalized in California appears to be the second quarter of 2023.

For that to happen the subject would need to be on the November 2022 ballot for voters as an amendment.

If that happens and the bill is passed, it will then take several months for betting services to be launched and for licenses to be granted to operators.

Can I Bet In Other States While It Is Banned In California?

Most States that allow in-person and online gambling do not require you to be a resident in order to place a bet. However, you must register and place your bets within State lines, and you must also be aged 21 or older.
