Minnesota Timberwolves Form
Minnesota head to Houston on the back of a win, but having lost three of their last five games to fall to 5-3.
The Timberwolves opened with back-to-back wins on the road, downing Miami 131-106 and Orlando 115-93.
They then beat Toronto 117-94 in their home opener, only to lose their next two as they fell 127-125 in overtime in Cleveland, and 119-114 at home to Golden State.
Minnesota snapped that skid with a 127-101 blowout of the LA Clippers, but failed to follow that up as they lost 121-111 in San Antonio.
The Timberwolves did issue an immediate response though, beating Milwaukee 112-100 at home on Monday night.
Houston Rockets Form
Houston have made a flying start to the season, winning seven of their first eight games.
The Rockets opened with a 128-110 victory at home to Dallas, and backed that up on the road as they downed San Antonio, 114-110.
They then won back-to-back meetings with Atlanta, 121-114 on the road and 120-110 at home, and made it five-in-a-row with a 132-100 rout of the Bucks on Milwaukee.
Houston failed to make it to 6-0 as they fell 116-111 in Dallas, but they bounced back with two impressive wins.
The Rockets beat Oklahoma City 119-98, and followed that up with a 109-93 success against Boston.
Verdict
Houston are coming off two big wins that have continued their outstanding start to the season.
Minnesota, meanwhile, have dipped in recent days and are without Edwards, so we are backing the Rockets to cover as they notch their eighth win.
