LSU at Auburn Predictions & Picks

Auburn are tipped to cover as a betting underdog at home.

The Tigers just stunned Georgia on the road, winning with a walk-off field goal, and there is the danger that they could be due a letdown this weekend.

However, it is tough to trust an LSU team that has now lost eight straight SEC road games.
  • LSU have lost 8 consecutive SEC road games
  • LSU are 1-6-0 ATS in their last 7 games away from ‘Death Valley’
  • The Under has cashed in 5 of LSU’s 7 games
  • The Under has hit in 4 of Auburn’s 6 games

Head To Head

  • LSU lead the all-time series 33-24-1
  • LSU won 48-18 when the two teams last met in October 2023

LSU Form

LSU head out on the road looking to win back-to-back conference games for the first time this season, having improved to 5-2 last time out.

The Tigers opened the season with back-to-back blowout wins, as they downed Clemson 51-10 and Louisiana Tech 45-14 at home.

They failed to reach 3-0 though, as Lane Kiffin’s return to his former team, Ole Miss, resulted in a 32-24 defeat.

LSU rebounded a week later with a 35-6 win over Texas A&M to get off the mark in the SEC, and followed that up with a 63-14 demolition of McNeese State in non-conference action.

The Tigers then made a losing return to SEC duty as they fell 35-34 in Kentucky, but they did issue an immediate response in the form of a 31-0 shutout of Mississippi State.

Auburn Form

Auburn return home on the back of a stunning upset win over number one-ranked Georgia, which took their record to 4-2.

The Tigers kicked off their campaign with a couple of non-conference games, and followed up a 17-16 win over Baylor with a 43-8 blowout of Southern Mississippi.

They failed to keep that run going in their SEC opener though, as they were beaten 44-39 at home by Florida.

Auburn bounced back a week later with a 21-15 win over Vanderbilt, only to immediately return to losing ways with a 24-14 defeat at Tennessee.

The Tigers did deliver an incredible response though, as a walk-off field goal lifted them to a 27-24 victory at Georgia.

Verdict

Auburn sent shockwaves through college football with that win in Georgia, but could there be a letdown on the cards this Saturday?

Asking them to spring back-to-back upsets is a big ask, but LSU’s recent road record in the SEC makes for ugly reading, so give us the home team and the free points.
