Flyers vs Rangers Prediction and Picks - Michkov and Fox

  • Michkov is tipped to score for the Flyers, with eight goals in his last ten games.
  • Fox is backed to record a point, having done so in 12 of 16 games.
  • Schneider is selected for 2+ shots, aided by increased minutes and Flyers' shot concessions.

Philadelphia Flyers vs New York Rangers Prediction and Pick - ExpertPicks

Adam Fox keeps the Rangers' offence moving at home, and Matvei Michkov is the Flyer most likely to answer.

The Philadelphia Flyers head to Madison Square Garden tonight, and the side is too close to call in this Flyers vs Rangers prediction against the New York Rangers, so the 7 p.m. ET puck drop is all about the players.

Michkov has scored in eight of 17 games, and he's the one Philadelphia forward who finishes. The Rangers' penalty kill is the risk, but half of his 10 goals have come at even strength, and +230 is a price I'll take.

Fox has a point in 12 of 16 games and had a goal and an assist on Tuesday. At -169 this is near my limit, but his form still clears it, and I wouldn't go past -182.

Braden Schneider is my shots bet. He has two or more shots on goal in nine of 16 games and six of his last 10, and he's playing almost 18 minutes a night against a Flyers team that has been outshot in six of its last 10.

  • Fox leads the Rangers with 17 assists.
  • Philadelphia are 1-5-1 on the road.
  • Michkov has 10 goals on 27 shots.
  • Philadelphia have allowed 58 goals in 17 games.

Head to Head

New York won the 2025-26 series 3-1, including a 5-4 shootout win at home in December. Tonight is the first meeting this season.

The last meeting was March 9, 2026, at Xfinity Mobile Arena, a 6-2 Rangers win. New York led 3-0 after the first, and after Michkov scored on the power play early in the second, Gabe Perreault and Mika Zibanejad answered with power-play goals of their own.

Flyers Form

Philadelphia are 4-4-2 in their last 10, a clear step up from an 0-5-2 start, and Michkov's finishing is a big part of it. Eight of his 10 goals have come in that stretch, though Dan Vladar (.883) and Joseph Woll (.899) still aren't giving them much in net.

Sunday's 6-3 win over Utah turned after a 1-1 first period, as Philadelphia scored four straight goals. Against Minnesota on Tuesday, they fell behind 3-0 inside the first 21 minutes and only got back within one on Denver Barkey's power-play goal.

Rasmus Ristolainen is still out with an upper-body injury, according to ESPN's injury report, but there's nothing new for Philadelphia. Woll is expected to start, since Vladar played on Sunday and Tuesday and the two have alternated most of the season.

Rangers Form

The Rangers are 4-5-1 in their last 10, but the home and road split explains most of it. They're 7-2 at Madison Square Garden and 1-5-1 away, and the penalty kill has stopped 30 of 33 chances over the last 10.

Sunday's 4-1 loss to Edmonton was decided early, with Connor McDavid and Colton Dach scoring in the first 6.19. On Tuesday, Fox opened the scoring 1.49 into the second and Dylan Garand made 32 saves in a 3-1 win over St. Louis.

Sean Durzi is day to day after missing the last two games, per ESPN, and Igor Shesterkin is out for the season, so Garand keeps carrying the load in goal.

Verdict

The Rangers are strong at home and Michkov is the Flyers' best answer, so my Flyers vs Rangers picks back Michkov to score, Fox to find the scoresheet and Schneider to get his shots through.
