Miami Heat Form
Miami head to the West Coast having finally got off the mark with back-to-back wins, improving their record to 2-4.
The Heat made a blockbuster move in the offseason to land Giannis Antetokounmpo, but that did not produce instant results as they opened with four straight defeats.
They lost back-to-back home games to start the season, falling 131-106 to Minnesota and 128-11 to Detroit, and then fell 115-110 in Charlotte.
Miami’s losing start then reached four games with a 113-109 loss to Dallas, before they finally got their first win on the board with a 129-117 victory in Atlanta.
The Heat then followed that up last Friday, as they returned home to beat Indiana, 145-125.
Los Angeles Lakers Form
Los Angeles enter this matchup having recorded their fifth win in seven games just last night.
The Lakers opened with back-to-back home games, beating Golden State 127-105 and the LA Clippers 125-117.
They then won 132-123 in Utah, before suffering their first defeat of the season as they were beaten 136-129 at home by Portland.
Los Angeles rebounded with a 103-87 success at the LA Clippers, only to then lose 112-95 when they visited Golden State.
The Lakers once again issued a swift response to a loss though, as they beat Toronto 131-125 last night.
Verdict
Luka Doncic is in fantastic form and the wins are stacking up for the Lakers in the early stages of the season.
So while Miami have just notched a couple of wins, we are backing Los Angeles to get the job done at home once again.
