Green Bay Packers at New England Patriots Predictions & Picks

New England are tipped to cover as they make it back-to-back wins.

The Patriots are missing a couple of key pieces, but few teams have enjoyed success against this defense this season, while more often than not Drake Maye and this offense has played good complementary football.
  • New England Patriots are 3-0 at home this season
  • All 5 of New England’s wins have been by 3 points or more
  • Green Bay Packers are 2-4-0 ATS in their 4 road games
  • The Under has cashed in each of New England’s last 5 games

Head To Head

  • Green Bay Packers lead the all-time series 7-6
  • Green Bay Packers won 27-24 in overtime when the two teams last met in October 2022

Green Bay Packers Form

Green Bay head to Foxboro having rebounded from the loss in Detroit, improving to 5-3 last time out.

The Packers fell to division rivals Minnesota on opening weekend, losing 39-22 on the road, only to rebound with a 20-17 overtime win at the New York Jets.

They failed to build on that as they fell 35-14 at home to Atlanta, but they responded to that with three consecutive victories.

Green Bay beat Tampa Bay 17-14 on the road, before returning home to down Chicago, 31-7, and Dallas, 23-13.

The Packers’ run was ended by a 20-17 defeat in Detroit, but they bounced back at the first attempt, beating Carolina 27-19 on Thursday Night Football.

New England Patriots Form

New England go into this matchup having also bounced back from a loss to improve to 5-3 on the season.

The Patriots lost a Super Bowl rematch on opening night, falling 13-10 in Seattle, and then failed to back up a 20-3 win over Pittsburgh as they lost 35-6 in Jacksonville.

They issued the perfect response in the form of a 29-26 upset of division rivals Buffalo on the road.

New England then followed that up with a couple of home wins, beating Las Vegas 45-17 and the New York Jets 26-19.

The Patriots failed to make it four-in-a-row as they lost 30-24 at Chicago, only to rebound last weekend as they downed Miami on the road, 24-19.

Verdict

Green Bay put that last-gasp loss in Detroit behind them last weekend, but this New England group is a step up from the Panthers, even with the injuries.

Drake Maye is without a couple of key weapons, but if he can take care of the football he can lean on one of the league’s best defenses to help the Patriots get over the line.
