Tampa Bay Buccaneers Form
Tampa Bay go into this Sunday Night Football clash having won back-to-back games to improve their record to 5-3.
The Buccaneers kicked off the season with a 33-27 defeat in Cincinnati, and that proved to be the start of a four-game skid as they lost three straight at home.
They fell 23-19 to Cleveland, 23-16 to Minnesota, and 17-14 when they played host to Green Bay.
Tampa Bay finally got off the mark with a 24-16 upset of Dallas on the road, only to then lose 26-19 in overtime when Pittsburgh came to town.
The Buccaneers have not lost since though, following up a 43-13 blowout of Carolina on the road with a 16-0 shutout of Atlanta.
Chicago Bears Form
Chicago enter their third straight primetime game having reeled off three consecutive wins since Caleb Williams returned, improving to 6-2.
The Bears opened with a 59-37 victory in California, only to lose 9-3 to Minnesota in a game that also saw Williams go down with an injury.
They rallied with a 27-7 upset of Philadelphia and a 23-12 victory over the New York Jets, only to then suffer a 31-7 blowout loss to bitter rivals Green Bay.
However, Williams returned from injury following that defeat and led them to a 31-23 victory in Atlanta.
The Bears the followed that up with back-to-back primetime wins over last season’s Super Bowl teams, beating New England 30-24 at home and Seattle 34-17 on the road.
Verdict
Chicago have made a statement over the past couple of weeks, beating both New England and Seattle in impressive fashion.
The Bears offense looks like it can put points on anyone at this time, and this defense has come alive with the arrival of Simmons, so we expect to see another win for Ben Johnson’s team.
