  • Saskatchewan Roughriders won 40-37 in overtime when the two teams last met on June 20

Calgary Stampeders Form

Calgary sit bottom of the division, but back-to-back wins mean they are still firmly in the playoff race at 7-8.

The Stampeders blew hot and cold through the first couple of months of the season, splitting their opening eight games.

They then suffered back-to-back defeats in August to lose ground in the postseason race, falling 33-30 at Toronto and 30-26 at home to the BC Lions.

Calgary avoided a third straight loss, beating Hamilton 28-23, only to then suffer back-to-back defeats to Edmonton, as they were beaten 38-28 at home and 53-16 on the road.

The Stampeders have reignited their playoff push in the past couple of weeks though, beating Ottawa 40-38 at home and 45-31 on the road.

Saskatchewan Roughriders Form

Saskatchewan’s quest for back-to-back Grey Cups have suffered a setback in recent weeks, with back-to-back defeats dropping them to 8-6.

The Roughriders made a strong start to the season as they won six of their first eight games, but they have gone cold since the middle of August.

They lost 26-19 in Hamilton, and then suffered a 30-16 defeat when they paid a visit to the BC Lions.

Saskatchewan rallied to beat Toronto 28-24 and Winnipeg 32-26 in overtime at home, only to end September with consecutive defeats.

The Roughriders lost 19-6 in Winnipeg, and then returned from a bye week with a 31-24 loss at the BC Lions.
