Isaac Cruz (28-3-2, 18 KOs) defends his interim WBC light-welterweight world title against Nestor Bravo (24-1, 17 KOs) at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California on Saturday, September 19.

Cruz – a former WBA light-welterweight champion – won the interim WBC belt in July of last year by beating Omar Salcido on points, but he continues to play the waiting game as he attempts to become a two-time world champion.
He did remain active with one more fight last year, going to a majority draw with Lamont Roach Jr, and he will be eager to get back to winning ways on Saturday to strengthen his calls for a world title fight.
Standing in his way is Bravo, who suffered the first defeat of his professional career last year, but rebounded back in January with a second-round demolition of Pedro Campa.
