The Tiger-Cats made an 0-3 start to the season, which included a 38-12 defeat when the hosted playoff opponents Montreal.
They steadied the ship though, and between early September and early October they won four times in five games to secure postseason football.
Hamilton won 27-24 at Ottawa and 29-23 at home to Winnipeg, before rebounding from a 29-14 loss at Toronto with a 22-15 victory over Calgary and a 38-13 success at Saskatchewan.
The Tiger-Cats lost their final two games of the regular season however, losing 33-30 to BC before suffering a 22-20 defeat in Montreal.

Montreal enter the postseason on a five-game win streak that saw them finish the regular season with an 11-7 record.
The Alouettes’ only defeats have come against the three teams that finished with better records than them – Winnipeg, BC and Toronto.
They lost four consecutive games against those teams during a rough run between late August and mid-September, but rebounded to finish the schedule in positive fashion.
Montreal snapped the skid with a 28-11 victory at Calgary, and backed that up with a 32-15 in Ottawa before returning home to beat the Redblacks, 29-3.
The Alouettes then won 35-21 at Edmonton, before beating playoff opponents Hamilton at home, 22-20.
