Boxing Picks & Predictions

Free picks and predictions for the biggest boxing fights from around the world. Every preview gives you our pick, the odds when we made it and the reasons behind it. We cover the world-title fights and big events from the major sanctioning bodies.

How We Pick Boxing Fights

Every boxing pick on ExpertPicks comes from our combat sports desk, led by Leigh Copson. Leigh has more than 25 years of experience covering US and combat sports.

We start with the matchup: style, reach, size, recent opposition and how each fighter has looked in camp. Then we compare that with the price. A fighter can be the right winner and still be a bad bet at the wrong odds, so every pick shows the price we took. If the price moves before the fight, check that your sportsbook's price still fits the bet.

We only pick fights we've studied. If we don't have a strong view on a fight, we don't post a pick for it.

How to Bet on Boxing

Boxing has fewer markets than team sports, but they reward knowing how a fight is likely to go, not just who wins.

Moneyline: Pick the winner, It doesn't matter how they win.
A favorite shows a minus price: -200 means you bet $200 to win $100. An underdog shows a plus price: +170 means a $100 bet wins $170.

Method of victory: Pick the winner and how they win.
By KO/TKO or by decision, It pays more than the moneyline because you need two things to go right.

Round betting: Pick the round the fight ends in.
Some books let you back a fighter to win in a set round, others just pick the round. Round group betting splits the fight into blocks, such as rounds 1–3 or 4–6, for shorter odds than a single round.

Total rounds: Bet over or under a line, such as 10.5 rounds.
You don't need to pick the winner. Remember that a 10.5 total on a 12-round fight is decided after 1 minute 30 seconds in round 11, not at the end of round 10.

Draws: On a standard two-way moneyline, most sportsbooks refund your stake if the fight is a draw. Some books also offer a three-way market with the draw as its own option. Check your book's house rules before you bet.
