Daniel Dubois vs Fabio Wardley 2 Predictions & Picks
Daniel Dubois is tipped to retain his WBO world heavyweight title via stoppage.
Dubois got caught cold early on in the first fight, but answered any questions about his mentality by battling back to get the job done.
His jab and power can be decisive again here, although Fabio Wardley’s durability means the stoppage is unlikely to come early.

Daniel Dubois Form
Daniel Dubois is the reigning and defending WBO world heavyweight champion with a professional record of 22-3 (22 KOs).
Dubois rattled off 15 straight wins – 14 by stoppage – before suffering a 10th round knockout loss to Joe Joyce in November 2002 that cost him the British, Commonwealth and European titles.
He rebounded strongly though, knocking out Bogdan Dinu in the second round, and he backed that up by stopping Joe Cusumano in the first, Trevor Bryan in the fourth and Kevin Lerena in the third.
That earned the 29-year-old Englishman a shot at world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in August 2023, but he came up short on the night as he was stopped in the ninth round.
Dubois again bounced back quickly from a loss, knocking out Jarell Miller in the 10th round.
He then stopped Filip Hrgovic in the eighth round to claim the interim IBF heavyweight title, and was later upgraded to full champion status.
‘DDD’ knocked out Anthony Joshua in the fifth round of his first defence of the belt, but he proved to be one-and-done as champion as he lost a rematch with Usyk via fifth-round knockout.
He became world heavyweight champion again in May though, as he survived a couple of early knockdowns to stop Fabio Wardley in the 11th round to claim the WBO belt.
Fabio Wardley Form
Fabio Wardley is a former world heavyweight champion with a professional record of 20-1-1 (19 KOs).
Wardley claimed the British title in his 15th professional fight as he knocked out Nathan Gorman in the third round.
He then went on to stop Michael Polite Coffie in the fourth round, before knocking out David Adeleye in the seventh round to claim the European and Commonwealth crowns.
The 31-year-old Englishman suffered the first blemish on his record in March 2024, although his unbeaten record remained intact.
Wardley went to a split decision draw with Frazer Clarke, but when the two men met again the following October he left no doubt, recording a first-round knockout.
He claimed the interim WBA title with a 10th round stoppage of Australian star Justis Huni in June of last year, and then won the interim WBO belt in October as he knocked out former world champion Joseph Parker in the 11th round.
However, Wardley surrendered the title in his first defence, as he was stopped in the penultimate round by Daniel Dubois in May.
