Rafael Espinoza (28-0, 24 KOs) defends his WBO featherweight title against Ricardo Blandon (21-6, 14 KOs) at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday, October 31.
The fight – which features on the undercard of Canelo Alvarez vs Christian Mbilli – can be exclusively seen globally in over 200 countries on DAZN PPV.
Espinoza became WBO world champion back in December 2023 when he out-pointed Robeisy Ramirez to win the title, and since then he has been on a tear, winning four straight defences by stoppage.
The 32-year-old Mexican had been scheduled to make his latest defence against Lorenzo Parra, but the Venezuela challenger – a former world champion – was forced to withdraw from the contest due to “medical exam complications”.
Espinoza will still compete on the Canelo-Mbilli card though, after Blandon agreed to step in at short notice for the biggest fight of his professional career to date.
But can the Nicaraguan contender send shockwaves through the featherweight division with a major upset here, or will Espinoza enjoy another defence of his WBO crown?
You can see for yourself thanks to DAZN’s global live streaming service, which is broadcasting the fight live from Riyadh.

Verdict
Credit to Ricardo Blandon for stepping in so late in the day, but we are not expecting this fight to enter the pantheon of bouts that have seen late stand-ins win a world title.
Rafael Espinoza has been on a dominant run as WBO champion, and has only gone the distance once in the last five years, so we expect him to showcase his fight-finishing power to get the job done inside the distance.
