How We Pick eSports Matches
Our esports picks come directly from the team at the ExpertPicks Desk with eSport Expert Tit Krajnik.
In esports, the map pool and the format matter as much as the team. We look at each team's map pool and veto habits, recent form against teams of the same level, roster changes and stand-ins, and the patch. Best-of-one matches are much harder to call than best-of-three, so we price them that way.
How to Bet on Esports
Match winner (moneyline) - Pick who wins the match. In best-of-two formats a draw is possible, and some books offer it as a third option.
Map spread - A spread on maps. A team at -1.5 maps must win a best-of-three 2–0.
Total maps - Bet on whether a series goes over or under a line, for example 2.5 maps in a best-of-five.
Map winner - Bet on a single map within the series.
Futures - Bets on the tournament winner.
