They were made to work for a 27-10 win over Michigan State, but were much more dominant a week later as they went out on the road to down Purdue, 49-10.
Notre Dame then took their perfect start to six games as they beat North Carolina on the road, 37-26, and Stanford at home, 58-7.
However, the Fighting Irish were unable to make it to 7-0, as they were beaten 28-24 at BYU in their last outing.
Navy Form
Navy also come this matchup on the back of a defeat, having suffered their fifth loss of the season last weekend.
The Midshipmen made a winning start to the campaign as they blew out Towson at home, 42-15, but they failed to follow that up on the road.
They were beaten 38-30 at Florida Atlantic a week later, before falling 24-20 at UAB and 14-9 at Air Force.
Navy stopped the rot with a 34-26 victory over Tulsa, but they have not won since that matchup back on October 10.
The Midshipmen were beaten 38-34 on the road by UTSA, before heading back home for a 49-39 loss to North Texas.
