Best NHL Props Oct 9: Player Props for the NHL Tonight
Kyle Connor to register 4+ shots, Alex Tuch to score and Bobby McMann to put 3+ shots on goal are our three best NHL player props for Friday night.
There are four games on a quieter Friday slate, and we've picked one prop from each of three of them. Each pick is based on shot volume or scoring form that has held up from the first night of the season.
Kyle Connor Shots on Goal Prop vs Anaheim Ducks
Connor has put at least four shots on goal in every game this season, with 9, 5, 6 and 4 through Winnipeg's first four games.
That's 24 shots in four games, and he's turned them into 5 goals. He's coming off a two-goal night that included the winner with a minute left against Colorado.
Anaheim are giving up 26.7 shots and 3.33 goals per game. Connor is playing 20:44 a night at home, so we're backing him to keep the shots coming.
Pick: Kyle Connor 4+ shots on goal
Alex Tuch Anytime Goal Prop vs New York Rangers
Tuch has scored 3 goals in Washington's first three games, including two against Carolina in the opener.
He's shooting more each game. He had 6 shots on goal against Pittsburgh on Wednesday, and his power-play time has climbed from 0:37 in the opener to 3:25.
The Rangers are a stingy team, allowing 1.6 goals per game. Even so, Tuch is getting more chances in the Capitals' offence, and we're backing him to score at home.
Pick: Alex Tuch anytime goal
Bobby McMann Shots on Goal Prop vs Detroit Red Wings
McMann has put at least three shots on goal in all four of Seattle's games, with 3, 3, 6 and 3.
That's 15 shots in four games, and he has 2 goals in that time. He's done it while playing about 16:35 a night, so he shoots often whenever he's on the ice.
Detroit have given up 3 goals in each of their last two games, and the Kraken haven't played since Tuesday. We like McMann to reach three shots again.
Pick: Bobby McMann 3+ shots on goal
