Buffalo Sabres vs Minnesota Wild NHL 2026-27 Predictions & Betting Tips - Wild Attack to Stay Hot

Minnesota have made an excellent start to the season and are backed to beat Buffalo, score four or more goals and give Matt Boldy enough opportunities to register 4+ shots.

The Wild have opened 2-0, beating Nashville 3-1 before taking care of Boston 4-1. That's seven goals scored and only two conceded.

Buffalo's start has been considerably messier defensively. The Sabres conceded six against Columbus before allowing another three in a 4-3 win over Chicago, leaving them with nine goals against through two games.

That makes Minnesota Over 3.5 team goals the more aggressive alternative to the short Over 2.5 line, while Boldy's early shot volume gives us an appealing player prop.

  • Minnesota are 2-0 after wins over Nashville and Boston.
  • The Wild have scored 3+ goals in both games this season.
  • Buffalo have conceded 6 and 3 goals in their opening two matches.
  • Boldy has averaged 4.5 shots per game through Minnesota's first two.

Buffalo Sabres Form

Buffalo opened with a difficult 6-3 defeat against Columbus before responding with a 4-3 victory over Chicago.

Scoring seven goals across those games is encouraging, but conceding nine makes the defensive side much harder to trust against a Minnesota attack that has started efficiently.

The Sabres also enter this matchup with questions in goal, which adds to the appeal of pushing Minnesota's team total beyond the standard 2.5 line.

Minnesota Wild Form

Minnesota couldn't have asked for much more from their opening two games. The Wild beat Nashville 3-1 on the road before returning home and beating Boston 4-1.

Kirill Kaprizov has already scored three times, giving Minnesota an immediate threat at the top of the lineup, while Boldy has been heavily involved without yet finding the net.

Boldy has produced nine shots across the opening two matches. With Minnesota expected to generate plenty offensively against Buffalo, backing him to reach four shots gives us a volume-based player prop rather than relying on him to score.
