Jaime Munguia boasts a perfect professional record heading into his 41st fight (40-0, 32 KOs).
The 26-year-old Mexican became a world champion for the first time in 2018 when he won the WBO light-middleweight title by stopping Sadam Ali in four rounds.
He made five defences of that crown before moving up to the middleweight division.
Munguia quickly won a minor title at the weight class, stopping Tureano Johnson inside six rounds to claim the WBO inter-continental belt.
He successfully defended that title twice in 2021, recording a six-round stoppage of Kamil Szeremeta before earning a decision win against Gabriel Rosado.
The Mexican middleweight then made third defence of that belt in February, stopping D’Mitrius Ballard in the third round.
Munguia fought again in June, in a non-title fight, and knocked out Jimmy Kelly in the fifth round.
Gonzalo Gaston Coria takes a 21-5 (8 KOs) record into the biggest fight of his career.
Coria has rebounded from a decision defeat to Fiodor Czerkaszyn with a three-fight win streak.
He was awarded a technical decision win against David Benitez in February after the fight was stopped due to a cut Benitez sustained in an accidental clash of heads.
Coria then made it back-to-back wins in May when the referee stopped his fight against Jesus Aviles I the seventh round.
The Argentinian then made it three-in-a-row in July, claiming a split decision win against Emiliano Exequiel Pucheta.
Coria was knocked down in the sixth round of that loss but got the nod from two of the three judges.
