The Rockies opened the season by sandwiching a 2-1 win in Tampa with 3-2 and 6-4 defeats to the Rays, and they were then swept in Philadelphia, losing 6-1, 5-1 and 3-1.
Their first two home outings ended in 6-3 and 7-4 defeats to the Athletics, and although they rallied to win the finale, 12-5, they then suffered back-to-back defeats to Milwaukee, 7-1 and 17-2.
Colorado again avoided being swept as they won the series finale 7-2, but they failed to build on that win as they were then swept in San Diego, losing 8-0, 2-0 and 6-0.
The Rockies' losing skid then reached five games during this series with the Los Angeles Dodgers, as they were beaten 5-3 and 6-2.

Los Angeles enter the final game of this series having rebounded from a couple of defeats with back-to-back wins.
The Dodgers opened the season with eight straight wins, winning back-to-back games with the Chicago Cubs in Japan, 4-1 and 6-3, before returning home to sweep Detroit, 5-4, 8-5 and 7-3, and Atlanta, 6-1, 3-1 and 6-5.
Their perfect start finally came to an end when they sandwiched a 3-1 win over Philadelphia with 3-2 and 8-7 defeats, and they then dropped back-to-back meetings with Washington, 6-4 and 8-2.
Los Angeles rebounded to take the series finale, 6-5, and backed up that victory by beating the Chicago Cubs 3-0.
The Dodgers lost the next two meetings with the Cubs, 16-0 and 4-2, but they have bounced back in recent days by beating Colorado 5-3 and 6-2.
