Los Angeles had secured their place in the playoffs by putting together a league-best 98-64 record to finish top of the National League West.
The Dodgers finished the regular season five games clear of San Diego in the standings, and they came into the playoffs in good form having won nine of their final 11 regular season games.
Verdict
San Diego blew their big chance on Wednesday night, but we still like their chances.
Yu Darvish is a man in form and he has featured in three wins over LA already this season, so that makes them an appealing underdog in Game 5.
