The Cavaliers ended 2023 with a 119-111 defeat at home to the Bucks, and then started 2024 with a 124-121 defeat in Toronto.
They have rebounded in emphatic fashion however, reeling off eight consecutive wins to improve their record to 25-14.
Cleveland started this streak with back-to-back home wins against Washington, 140-101 and 114-90, and they followed that up by beating San Antonio 117-115, Brooklyn 111-102, Chicago 109-91 and Milwaukee 136-95.
The Cavaliers then kept their red-hot run going in the first two games of this road trip, winning 116-95 in Atlanta and 126-99 in Orlando.

Milwaukee enter this matchup in solid form, having won five of their last six games to reach 30-13.
The Bucks enjoyed a great run in late 2023, but cooled off as they lost four of their first five games of 2024.
They were beaten 122-113 and 142-130 by Indiana, and then failed to build on a 125-121 win in San Antonio as they lost 112-108 in Houston and 132-116 to Utah.
Milwaukee snapped that skid with a 135-102 blowout of Boston and then built on that with a 129-118 victory over Golden State and a 143-142 overtime win against Sacramento.
The Bucks failed to make it four-in-a-row as they lost 135-95 in Cleveland, but they responded with back-to-back wins in Detroit, beating the Pistons 141-135 and 122-113.
Verdict
Cleveland are in red-hot form and just destroyed Milwaukee by 40 points a week ago, so even with the return of Giannis for the Bucks, we like the Cavaliers with the points in this one.
