The Mavericks made a strong start to the season as they won six of their first seven games, but their form has cooled off in recent weeks.

They were beaten 127-116 at home by Toronto, only to rebound with a 144-126 win over the LA Clippers and a 136-124 victory against New Orleans.

Dallas lost the second meeting the Pelicans, 131-110, but responded to that loss with a 130-117 victory at Washington.

The Mavericks have not won since though, suffering a 132-125 defeat in Milwaukee before returning home for a 129-113 loss at home to Sacramento.

Los Angeles Lakers Form

Los Angeles come into this game on a three-game win streak that has improved their record to 9-6.

The Lakers lost three straight road games in early November, but were able to snap that skid with a 122-119 win in Phoenix.

They followed that up at home as they beat Portland 116-110 and Memphis 134-107 to get back above .500.

Los Angeles failed to make it four-in-a-row as they were beaten 125-110 at home by Sacramento, but they bounced back swiftly.

The Lakers got back to winning ways with a 107-95 victory at Portland, and they have backed that up with a 105-104 win against Houston and a 131-99 blowout of Utah.

Los Angeles have been in great form at home and are an appealing underdog against a Dallas team who are experiencing a dip in form.
