The Clippers ended the regular season in hot form too, winning each of the final eight games on their schedule.
Their last defeat came on March 30 when they fell 127-122 in Cleveland, and they bounced back from that loss with a 96-87 victory in Orlando.
LA followed that up with five straight victories at home, beating New Orleans 114-98, Dallas 114-91 and 135-104, San Antonio 122-117 and Houston 134-117.
The Clippers then made it to eight-in-a-row with two more wins on the road, beating Sacramento 101-100 and Golden State 124-119 in double overtime.

Denver secured another trip to the postseason by compiling a 50-32 regular season record that earned them fourth in the Western Conference.
The Nuggets endured a four-game losing skid late in the regular season, but rebounded to wrap up their schedule with three straight wins.
Their rough run started with a 140-139 double overtime defeat to Minnesota, which was followed by a 113-106 loss to San Antonio.
Denver then fell 118-104 at Golden State, before returning home for a 125-120 defeat at the hands of Indiana.
The Nuggets have not lost since though, backing up a 124-116 win in Sacramento with a 117-109 home win over Memphis and a 126-111 road victory in Houston.
