Oklahoma City head to Los Angeles riding a three-game win streak that has improved their record to 14-4.
The Thunder opened the season with a red-hot run of form that saw them win 11 of their first 13 games, including the 99-83 NBA Cup win over Phoenix.
Their form cooled after that victory though, as they lost 121-119 at home to Dallas before heading out to San Antonio for a 110-104 cup loss to the Spurs.
Oklahoma City stopped the rot at home though, avoiding a third straight loss with a 109-99 victory against Portland.
The Thunder then went back out on the road to beat Sacramento 130-109 and Golden State 105-101.
Los Angeles Lakers Form
Los Angeles go into their final NBA Cup group game looking to build on Wednesday night’s win in San Antonio.
The Lakers went 4-4 through their first eight games, but hit a rich vein of form earlier this month as they embarked on a six-game win streak.
That run included victories in their first two cup games, as they beat San Antonio 120-115 on the road and Utah 124-118 at home.
Los Angeles cooled down after that though, as they lost three straight games, 119-118 to Orlando, 127-102 to Denver and 127-100 in Phoenix.
The Lakers avoided a fourth straight loss however, as they went back to San Antonio to down the Spurs, 119-101.
