Alabama returned home with the aim of issuing an immediate response to last week’s stunning defeat to Vanderbilt.
The Crimson Tide opened the season with a four-game win streak, which started with a 63-0 shutout of Western Kentucky.
They backed that up a week later with a 42-16 win over South Florida, before heading out on the road to beat Wisconsin, 42-10.
That sent Alabama into the massive SEC opener against Georgia with a perfect record, and they kept it intact by fending off a Bulldogs fightback to win 41-34.
The Crimson Tide’s record was spoiled a week later though, as they suffered a shock 40-35 loss to Vanderbilt on the road.
Verdict
Alabama’s loss last week sent shockwaves through college football, but the Crimson Tide are not about to fall apart.
